Clinical Laboratory Technician – On‑Site in Iwakuni or Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician to work on‑site at a U.S. Government facility in Japan. The role can be based in either Iwakuni or Yokosuka and involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests for military and government health services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood bank.
• Collect patient specimens by venipuncture and prepare slides for microscopic analysis.
• Operate and maintain automated instrumentation and laboratory information systems (CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, CIS).
• Record and report test results, manage specimen transport, and handle biological waste disposal.
• Participate in Quality Control (QC) and College of American Pathology (CAP) programs and comply with Joint Commission standards.
• Provide training and guidance to supporting government personnel.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in Japan without H‑1B sponsorship (direct‑hire, W2 employee).
• Experience performing clinical laboratory tests and venipuncture.
• Familiarity with government or military medical environments is a plus.
