Clinical Psychologist – On‑site in Iwakuni or Sasebo, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to work on‑site at one of its two Department of the Navy medical facilities in Iwakuni or Sasebo, Japan. The role supports military personnel and their families by providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions in a government‑contract environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interview patients, review medical and social histories, and diagnose mental and emotional disorders.
• Develop and administer individualized treatment programs and document all care in accordance with clinic directives.
• Participate in peer review, performance‑improvement, and risk‑management activities, including the Family Advocacy Program.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and emergency response protocols as directed by the command.
• Operate and maintain automated health‑record systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and the Clinical Information System (CIS).
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, HIPAA privacy rules, and Department of the Navy regulations.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the United States.
• Eligibility to work in Japan on a W‑2 basis without sponsorship.
• Experience providing mental‑health services in a clinical or military setting.
• Ability to function effectively in emergency situations and follow established protocols.

• Proficiency with AHLTA (Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application).
