Commercial Account Executive

About the role

Datadog is hiring a Commercial Account Executive in Tokyo to help grow its business by engaging and closing net-new customers in small to midsize markets. Sellers follow a defined methodology, work with internal stakeholders, identify each customer's needs and clearly communicate the value of the Datadog product. The role is hybrid (#LI-Hybrid).

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new logos through outbound activity.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including technical demonstrations and negotiation.
• Work with Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel activity.
• Prospect strategically into Chief Technology Officers, Engineering/IT leaders and technical end-users.
• Continue product and sales training to become a Datadog expert.

Required profile

• Curious, driven and motivated as a salesperson, creative in mapping and breaking into accounts.
• Able to learn from feedback and champion a growth mindset.
• Comfortable in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.
• Quota-experienced with a proven track record of success.
• Passion for technology is encouraged even if not all qualifications are met on day one.
