Customer Success Associate

About the role

Datadog is looking for a Customer Success Associate in Tokyo to focus on long-term strategic relationships with its customers, drive adoption and identify growth opportunities across a large portfolio of accounts. Associates follow a defined methodology to understand each customer's needs and communicate the value of the Datadog product, acting as an advocate for the customer internally while delivering a positive experience for many accounts. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Identify target opportunities, manage the full sales cycle and build strategic relationships with customers, focusing on retention
• Handle requests from the book of business such as technical support escalations, billing questions and documentation or enablement requests
• Pivot account management strategy according to each customer's needs
• Advise customers so they use the solution effectively
• Monitor usage trends to spot renewal risks and support higher adoption rates
• Work cross-functionally with support, product, finance and legal teams

Required profile

• 0-2 years of experience in a customer account-facing role, with a desire to grow a career in Customer Success
• Experience independently negotiating contract terms and overcoming pricing objections for upsell and cross-sell
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
• Customer-minded and driven by a career in sales and Customer Success
