Customer Success Specialist

About the role

Based in the Greater Tokyo area, the Customer Success Specialist will manage and support a portfolio of Catapult customers across Japan, including professional teams, federations, universities and high‑performance sporting organisations. The role focuses on driving adoption, education, retention and long‑term value of Catapult’s performance‑technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Account‑manage the Japanese customer base, ensuring health, adoption, engagement, retention and growth.
• Build trusted relationships with coaches, performance staff, analysts and senior stakeholders.
• Deliver onsite and remote onboarding, training workshops and best‑practice education; travel regularly within Japan and globally.
• Identify education needs, adoption gaps, renewal risks and growth opportunities, and partner with the commercial team to act on them.
• Create, localise and deliver Japanese‑language education materials and facilitate technical support.
• Maintain accurate records, gather feedback and communicate product requests and market insights internally.

Required profile

• Native‑level Japanese and professional English communication skills; other Asian languages are a plus.
• Strong customer‑facing presence with confidence to lead meetings, trainings and workshops independently.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Japan and internationally as needed.
• Ability to build trust with elite sporting organisations and communicate with both technical users and senior decision‑makers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science, Sports Performance, Strength & Conditioning or a related field.

Required skills

• Proactive ownership mindset with problem‑identification and follow‑through capabilities.
• Experience with athlete monitoring, video analysis, scouting or gym‑based performance technology is desirable.
• Strong background in football or rugby is desired.
