About the role
The EPI Customer Engineer II works as the direct liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading Applied Materials equipment. The role involves using digital analytics for troubleshooting and applying basic diagnostic techniques under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
- Use digital analytics and basic diagnostics to assess and resolve technical issues.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems (training provided).
- Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
Required profile
- Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
- 1–2 years of experience in customer/field service support or a related technical field.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
Required skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
- Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
