About the role
As an EPI Customer Engineer II at Applied Materials, you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining, and upgrading advanced semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
- Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques under guidance.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
- Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
Required profile
- Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
- 1–2 years of customer/field service support or related technical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
Required skills
- Digital analytics tools for equipment troubleshooting.
- Basic diagnostic techniques for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, digital multimeters, and reading schematics.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
