ETCH Customer Engineer I

About the role

As an ETCH Customer Engineer I you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading advanced semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques under guidance.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience or trade certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
• Ability to meet on‑site safety, environmental and COVID‑19 requirements.
