Manager III, Customer Engineer

About the role

Manage and develop customer relationships across the district, leading a team of customer engineers to deliver technical support, installations, and service excellence for Applied Materials' semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with all relevant customers in the district, performing regular visits.
• Lead, coach, and direct customer engineers, handling salary and career planning, performance appraisals, and corrective actions.
• Act as the primary interface with product divisions for technical support, training, spares, and reliability.
• Oversee account planning with District Sales Engineer and provide support plans for system sales.
• Manage financial forecasting, cost efficiency, and district financial results.
• Plan and execute system installations, including pre‑facility and start‑up meetings.
• Handle RMA procedures, track engineer hours, and ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Ability to receive assignments with clear objectives and recommend policy changes.
• Provide direction to employees according to established policies and administer company policies affecting subordinates.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions.
• Interact effectively to gain cooperation, present technical information, and conduct project presentations.
