Freelance Simplified Chinese to Japanese MTPE & Proofreading (Technical)

About the role

Join TransPerfect’s international technology brand team as a freelance translator, focusing on Simplified Chinese to Japanese for technical marketing, user manuals, and consumer‑facing guides. This long‑term position offers the chance to work on multiple technical accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full post‑editing (MTPE) of machine‑translated content.
• Proofread and polish translated material to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Handle technical marketing texts, user manuals, and consumer guides.
• Collaborate remotely with the project team using the MemoQ platform.

Required profile

• Native Japanese speaker with strong command of Simplified Chinese.
• 2+ years of professional translation experience with a language‑related degree, or 5+ years without a degree.
• Ability to complete a subject‑specific technical test and MTPE/proofreading tests.
• Access to a licensed MemoQ installation.

Required skills

• MemoQ translation tool.
