Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Onsite in Okinawa

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join its on‑site health team in Okinawa, Japan. This full‑time position supports both inpatient and outpatient populations within a military medical setting, providing comprehensive social work services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect social work services to patients and families, including individual, group, couples, and family counseling.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop discharge plans, and coordinate follow‑up care with civilian health and social service agencies.
• Provide consultation to medical, nursing, and ancillary staff on psychosocial issues and crisis intervention.
• Present educational lectures and programs to military and community audiences.
• Maintain relationships with community resources, legal, educational, and medical professionals to support service members and families.
• Participate in emergency preparedness drills and performance improvement activities.

Required profile

• Current LCSW license and eligibility to practice in the United States.
• Experience providing social work services in inpatient and outpatient settings, preferably within a military or federal health system.
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate referrals.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Okinawa and comply with local regulations.
