Manager, Account Executive

About the role

Anthropic is expanding its presence in Japan and seeks a senior leader to build and manage a high‑performing team of Account Executives. You will drive adoption of safe, frontier AI solutions across top enterprises, working closely with engineering, product, GTM, and marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, coach, and mentor a team of Account Executives to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Design and execute sales strategies aligned with Japanese enterprise procurement cycles and budgeting processes.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline management, and CRM data integrity.
• Partner with Enablement to create training programs that accelerate AE ramp time.
• Collaborate with Applied AI Engineering to showcase technical capabilities pre‑sales and optimize post‑sales solutions.
• Guide the team in credible technical conversations about AI while respecting safety guardrails.
• Identify new market opportunities and use cases for Anthropic’s AI across enterprise segments.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably with SaaS or emerging technologies.
• 3+ years of sales leadership experience in the enterprise segment.
• Proven track record of building and scaling high‑performing sales teams.
• Deep understanding of Japanese business culture, enterprise buying cycles, and procurement frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders from individual contributors to C‑suite executives.
• Business‑level Japanese and strong English proficiency.

Required skills

• Expertise with CRM systems for forecasting and pipeline management.
• Technical knowledge of AI solutions to conduct credible pre‑sales discussions.
