Product Innovation Manager – Strategist & Facilitator

About the role

Mastercard Digital Labs is seeking a Product Innovation Manager to lead both facilitation of product development sprints and strategic product design. The role blends hands‑on sprint leadership with high‑level innovation strategy, supporting customers and internal stakeholders across Japan and the broader AP region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as lead sprint master, designing and running ideation, rapid‑prototyping and design‑sprint sessions for clients and internal teams.
• Develop and mature Digital Labs service offerings, including product‑development sprints, customer testing, tech‑build pilots and thought‑leadership events.
• Co‑create designs with partners in financial services, technology, retail, aviation and other verticals, advising on emerging technologies such as Open Banking, crypto, VR/AR and mobile platforms.
• Build and nurture relationships with external innovation labs, universities and research entities.
• Serve as a public advocate for Mastercard Labs in Japan, Korea and APAC, evangelising Digital Labs capabilities to drive business development.

Required profile

• Proven experience facilitating design‑thinking, rapid‑prototyping and agile product‑management workshops.
• Strong background in product strategy and innovation consulting for technology‑focused organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management skills with a track record of representing a brand externally.
• Ability to translate market trends and disruptive technologies into actionable product concepts.
