Senior Biostatistician II

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. As a Senior Biostatistician II in Tokyo (office remote hybrid), you will lead the design, analysis and interpretation of statistical data for clinical trials, deliver high-quality outcomes and mentor colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement statistical analyses for clinical trials, including statistical analysis plans and interpretation of results
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define study objectives, data requirements and statistical methodologies
• Provide expert statistical guidance for clinical trial protocols and data analysis strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices in statistical analysis and reporting
• Mentor and support junior statisticians

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or a related field
• Significant experience in biostatistics within clinical research, with a strong track record in designing and analysing clinical trial data
• Ability to work independently and guide others
• Strong analytical skills and thorough understanding of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based

Required skills

• Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as SAS, R or Python
