Senior Manager, FP&A

About the role

The Senior Manager, FP&A will lead the FP&A team in Japan, acting as a strategic partner to the Senior Director, Finance and supporting decisions of the Japan President and leadership team. The role serves as the primary liaison between Japan and the APAC FP&A team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including the Japan President.
• Coordinate with the APAC FP&A team and Finance Business Partners to harmonise processes and drive efficiency.
• Identify performance drivers, develop KPI frameworks and deliver data‑driven insights.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long‑range planning, maintaining robust financial models for scenario analysis.
• Produce accurate, timely reports and champion process automation and best practices.
• Partner with Operations and Regulatory Affairs to evaluate initiatives, optimise costs and support back‑office functions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX and internal controls, supporting audits and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive FP&A or related finance experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Fluency in English and Japanese.
• Proven ability to influence across functions and regions in a matrix organisation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using planning tools such as Hyperion and Oracle.
