Senior Manager, Strategic Alliances – Japan Partnerships

About the role

Agoda is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Financial Institution partnership strategy in Japan. You will shape the local partnership roadmap, negotiate agreements, and drive performance across banks, card issuers, digital wallets and other financial ecosystem partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Agoda’s FI partnership strategy for Japan, identifying and prioritising new opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract execution and ongoing account management for key FI partners.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, Legal and Operations to launch and optimise partnership initiatives.
• Analyse partnership performance, generate insights and optimise ROI through data‑driven recommendations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development or related commercial roles.
• Proven ability to manage external partners, negotiate win‑win agreements and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
• Experience working with financial institutions, payment platforms or loyalty ecosystems is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English and Japanese.

Required skills

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Familiarity with SQL and Tableau or other data‑visualisation tools.
