Senior Partnerships Manager – Japan Financial Institution Partnerships

About the role

Agoda is looking for a Senior Partnerships Manager to lead its Japan financial institution partnership strategy. Based in Tokyo, you will shape and execute collaborations with banks, card issuers, digital wallets and other fintech players to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the FI partnership strategy for Japan, aligning with market priorities and growth objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and prioritize new partnership opportunities with banks, credit‑card issuers, payment platforms and loyalty programmes.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract execution and ongoing account management for a portfolio of key FI partners.
• Develop joint business plans, monitor performance and optimise campaigns, product integrations and partnership initiatives.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, Legal and Operations to launch and scale partnership programmes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development or account management, preferably within fintech, payments or e‑commerce.
• Proven track record of managing external partners and delivering commercial outcomes in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical rigor and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Japanese.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with SQL, Tableau or other data‑visualisation tools (preferred).
• Ability to build business cases, commercial models and performance reporting frameworks.
