Structured Finance Associate - Renewable Energy Project Finance

About the role

Enfinity Global, a renewable energy IPP active in Europe, Asia and the Americas, is hiring a Structured Finance Associate in Tokyo to support the structuring and execution of project finance transactions for renewable energy and power infrastructure assets in Japan. The role covers financial modeling, lender and stakeholder coordination, and preparation of investment and financing materials.

Key responsibilities

• Support the origination and structuring of non-recourse project debt, mezzanine debt and equity for renewable energy and power infrastructure projects in Japan.
• Support financial due diligence and M&A transactions involving such assets.
• Act as a bilingual liaison between the global finance team and Japanese banks, advisors and regulators.
• Build and maintain financial models to support financing and investment decisions.
• Prepare investment committee and lender materials, and deliver investment memos, lender presentations and financing documentation in Japanese and English.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Engineering; Master's or MBA is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in structured finance, project finance or corporate banking, ideally in power, energy or infrastructure; prior experience in development or heavy-asset industries is highly valued.
• CFA, FMVA or similar certification is a plus.
• Native or business-level Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and strong spoken and written English.
• Experience in power, energy or renewable energy project finance in Japan, familiarity with Japanese lending practices, METI regulations and local financial institutions.

• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial analysis tools.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across cultures under tight deadlines.
