Value Architect - AI Transformation

About the role

Value Architects determine where AI creates meaningful business impact, which opportunities to pursue and how success will be measured. Working with client executives, Industry Reinvention Leads, Domain Architects and delivery teams, they build the value case that funds a transformation. The role also defines the value methodology, benchmark library and ROI verification standards behind the outcome-based commercial model, helping clients invest wisely before delivery and proving value after deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, quantify and prioritise opportunities with clients and Avanade Next teams, assessing value pools, strategic priorities, constraints and feasibility
• Sequence use cases by value and feasibility
• Build value hypotheses, business cases and baselines, translating AI capability into a narrative CFOs, COOs and Boards recognise
• Set the measurement model before delivery starts
• Track realised versus projected benefit through delivery, report variance at each gate and recommend stopping, re-scoping or re-prioritising where value is no longer achievable
• Contribute verified outcomes and benchmark data to the APAC value library and support outcome-based commercial models with defensible numbers

Required profile

• 5+ years in strategy consulting, business transformation, value engineering or a strong finance background
• Experience with benefits realisation on programmes where benefits were actually measured afterwards
• Able to hold a position with senior client stakeholders under pressure
• Clear written and verbal reasoning

Required skills

• Solid financial modelling and comfort with incomplete data
• Understanding of AI value drivers and enough technical fluency to challenge engineering estimates sensibly
