Workplace Manager – Tokyo

About the role

Adyen is seeking an energetic, hands‑on Workplace Manager to own the daily office experience in its Tokyo office. Reporting to the Regional Workplace Manager in Singapore, you will partner with local leadership to create a safe, engaging, and efficient workplace that reflects Adyen’s culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, candidates and clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all office‑related queries and coordinate with IT, HR, Events, Marketing and Security.
• Manage relationships with building management, external service providers and suppliers, overseeing maintenance, repairs and contracts.
• Organise employee branding events, team‑building activities, off‑sites and CSR initiatives.
• Support space planning, moves, adds and changes in collaboration with the Workplace Project Team.
• Handle incoming mail, invoices and office discount schemes, translating when needed.
• Act as the Health officer (衛生管理者) and ensure compliance with on‑site security and emergency preparedness.
• Assist HR with remote onboarding sessions and employee care packages.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Workplace or Office Manager in a 50+ employee environment.
• Fluent in Japanese with business‑level English.
• Strong partnership and communication skills across all organisational levels.
• Self‑starter attitude, able to thrive in a fast‑paced, global setting.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can challenge the status‑quo.

Required skills

• General technical/electric building knowledge.
• Class 1 or Class 2 Health supervisor’s license (衛生管理者) – advantage.
