Commercial Director – Japan

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead the Japan commercial organisation for Eakin Healthcare. The role will drive strategy, sales, marketing and customer service to grow the ostomy business in Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Japan commercial strategy aligned with global ostomy priorities and local market dynamics.
• Take full P&L responsibility for Eakin KK, overseeing forecasting, budgeting and performance delivery.
• Lead and develop the Japan sales team, set targets, monitor performance and improve territory management.
• Direct the local marketing function to ensure product positioning and campaign execution are relevant for the Japanese market.
• Manage customer service performance and ensure high‑quality support for customers, partners and patients.
• Work with global teams to ensure the right product portfolio, launch plans and market access activities are in place for Japan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare or a related field.
• 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in medical devices or healthcare, preferably in ostomy, continence or wound care.
• Proven success leading sales, marketing and/or customer service teams in Japan with a strong track record of growth.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese healthcare system, reimbursement environment and commercial requirements.
• Fluent in Japanese and English with the ability to communicate across local and global teams.
