Lead Solutions Consultant – APJ

About the role

As the Lead Solutions Consultant for APJ, you will be the senior technical voice for DeepL’s full product range across Japan and the broader Asia‑Pacific region. You will work directly with enterprise customers to design, demo and proof the value of DeepL’s translation, API and Voice solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on strategy for strategic and complex customers, positioning DeepL products across the account landscape.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, mapping DeepL’s Language AI platform to business goals and integration needs.
• Lead technical discovery and deliver highly tailored demos, prototypes, POCs and proof‑of‑value engagements.
• Provide expert guidance on APIs, SSO (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), real‑time streaming and enterprise security/compliance.
• Create reusable frameworks, demo environments and ROI models to improve team performance.
• Mentor other Solutions Consultants and shape onboarding and skill‑development content.

Required profile

• Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English.
• 7+ years of client‑facing technical experience in solutions consulting, pre‑sales or similar, preferably in enterprise SaaS, AI or language technology.
• Proven track record of designing customer solutions, influencing deal outcomes and building technical credibility.
• Hands‑on experience building demos, prototypes or proof‑of‑value environments.
• Ability to simplify complex enterprise workflows and communicate transformation value.
• Strong enterprise instincts, navigating programme managers, IT architects and C‑level buyers.
