On‑site Psychiatrist – Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a qualified psychiatrist to work on‑site at a Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. The role involves delivering mental‑health services, supporting wellness programs, and ensuring compliance with military and governmental health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical staff and base personnel on mental‑health wellness programs, including addictions, stress management, and group therapies.
• Provide patient consultations requested by Naval Hospital healthcare providers in accordance with hospital guidelines.
• Document procedures and care using Health Maintenance Strategies International (HMSI) standards.
• Support the Family Advocacy Program and attend all required annual training classes.
• Participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program, reviewing care quality and recommending corrective actions.
• Respond to emergency patient situations, follow protocols, and document events accurately.
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission standards, applicable laws, and military medical regulations.
• Provide training and direction to government employees such as hospital corpsmen and students.
• Operate automated systems including CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentra’s platforms, and the Clinical Information System (CIS).
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security policies and obtain/maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as required.

Required profile

• Qualified psychiatrist able to practice in a military/government healthcare setting.

Required skills

• Experience with CHCS (Composite Health Care System).
• Familiarity with AHLTA (Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application).
• Knowledge of ADS (Automated Data Systems).
• Use of Essentra’s health‑information platforms.
• Proficiency with Clinical Information System (CIS) tools.
