Part-Time On-Site Psychiatrist – Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a board‑certified psychiatrist to provide on‑site mental health services at a Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. The position is part‑time and supports U.S. government and military personnel through clinical consultations, wellness programs and emergency care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations and follow‑up care as requested by Naval Hospital staff.
• Document procedures and patient records in accordance with the Health Maintenance Strategies International (HMSI) manual.
• Participate in peer‑review, performance‑improvement and Family Advocacy Program activities.
• Attend mandatory annual training and comply with Joint Commission standards and all applicable regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations, follow established protocols and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to hospital corpsmen, students and other government employees.
• Operate and maintain automated medical systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris and the Clinical Information System (CIS).

Required profile

• Board‑certified psychiatrist licensed to practice in Japan or eligible for a U.S. medical license.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Yokosuka with scheduled weekday regular (07:30‑16:00) and on‑call shifts (16:00‑07:30) including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to work as a direct‑hire W2 employee; no 1099, C2C or staffing firm arrangements.
• Cannot require H‑1B sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CHCS (Composite Health Care System).
• Experience using AHLTA (Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application).
• Familiarity with ADS (Automated Data System).
• Knowledge of Essentris.
• Use of Clinical Information System (CIS) for patient documentation.
