Overlay Sales Manager (Tokyo)

About the role

Formlabs is expanding its Japan team and seeks a technically strong, enterprise‑savvy sales professional to help channel partners win complex, high‑value opportunities. You will act as the primary technical and commercial resource for large strategic accounts across manufacturing, dental, and medical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main technical and commercial point of contact for channel partners targeting large, complex accounts in Japan.
• Own and manage a portfolio of key enterprise accounts, supporting deals from qualification through close.
• Conduct in‑depth technical discovery with end customers and recommend the appropriate Formlabs 3D printer, materials, and software.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and application‑specific presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Build and maintain direct relationships with key end customers to ensure long‑term satisfaction, expansion, and retention.
• Collaborate with channel partners to develop account plans and strategies for priority targets.
• Provide structured feedback on competitive dynamics and customer needs to the broader Formlabs team.
• Work with Japan marketing and APAC leadership to align sales activity with regional go‑to‑market priorities.

Required profile

• STEM degree or engineering background.
• Native Japanese speaker with business‑level English.
• Experience working in or alongside a channel sales model.
• Highly organized with strong pipeline management discipline.
• Comfortable operating independently in a market where brand awareness is still growing.
• Willing and able to travel regularly across Japan.
