Regulatory Compliance Officer

About the role

Adyen is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer to help build and scale its business in Japan. You will act as a trusted partner, providing strategic regulatory advice and ensuring ethical, compliant growth across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders, aligning with Adyen’s commercial objectives.
• Identify and address key regulatory obligations and integrity risks in a practical, scalable manner.
• Transform obligations into policies and procedures and communicate them globally.
• Represent Regulatory on work streams and product teams to establish compliant growth strategies.
• Drive alignment with global stakeholders, implement new processes, and manage incidents.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulator interactions and monitor legislative developments.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a legal or compliance support function.
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, research, and statutory interpretation skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and critical, strategic thinking.
• Proactive initiative, independence, and ability to take ownership in a fast‑growing environment.
