Senior Manager, Medical Information

About the role

Alexion is hiring a Senior Manager, Medical Information within its Medical Affairs function. The role responds to complex medical information inquiries, maintains product and therapeutic area information resources, and ensures compliance with medical information protocols and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to complex or escalated medical information inquiries using knowledge of assigned products, therapeutic areas and company protocols.
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date information packages, resource materials and documentation for assigned products or therapeutic areas.
• Act as a subject matter expert, monitoring developments in specialty fields and keeping knowledge current.
• Track, document and analyse all medical information inquiries and responses to meet internal standards, comply with regulatory requirements and give actionable insights to stakeholders such as the Marketing team.
• Ensure strict adherence to medical information protocols, corporate policies and local and international regulations.
• Manage and deliver assigned projects on time, prepare detailed reports and present findings to relevant audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a science, pharmacy or healthcare-related discipline.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical, medical information or healthcare environments.
• Strong experience in customer communication and handling complex information.
• Solid understanding of medical information processes, protocols and compliance standards.
• Ability to escalate complex issues appropriately.

Desirable

• Broader expertise across multiple products, therapy areas or aspects of medical information.
• Experience managing projects or supporting the implementation of new initiatives.
• Project management certification or relevant training.
