Assistant Finance & Accounting Manager

About the role

Analog Devices K.K. (Japan) is looking for an Assistant Finance & Accounting Manager to support end-to-end accounting and finance operations. The role is hands-on and operational, covering general accounting, statutory compliance, month-end close and coordination with shared service teams, and is intended as a pipeline role for future finance leadership in Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close for ADKK, reviewing general ledger balances, journal entries and account reconciliations
• Coordinate with Global Business Services on accounting entries, AP, AR and intercompany transactions, and assist in monitoring cash flow, forecasts and bank balances
• Prepare and review local statutory filings (corporate income tax, consumption tax, business and property tax, withholding tax, stock-based compensation filing) and liaise with external tax advisors, internal auditors and local accountants
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and documentation standards
• Reconcile intercompany balances and charges with regional and corporate entities, and support APAC and corporate reporting needs
• Work with SAP S/4HANA, BlackLine and other finance systems, and identify improvements in efficiency, automation and controls
• Contribute to the small Japan finance team, understand ADKK operations deeply, and support junior or contingent finance staff

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 5-8 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in multinational companies and manufacturing / technology
• Solid understanding of Japanese accounting standards, tax and statutory requirements
• Fluent Japanese (business level or above) and business-level English
• Preferred: US GAAP exposure, shared service center experience, corporate income tax filing experience, process improvement or system implementation experience

The role involves about 10% travel and is a day shift. It is a development position with growth into a senior accounting or finance manager role, and export licensing review may apply for non-US citizens or permanent residents.
