Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) - Tokyo

About the role

GEM Corp is hiring a Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) based in Tokyo. The role works closely with project members to ensure smooth development and delivery, proposes technical solutions to clients and recommends suitable software development approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project members to ensure smooth development and delivery.
• Propose technical solutions to clients and recommend software development approaches that meet their requirements.
• Conduct source code reviews in line with coding standards and established review processes.
• Design, develop and test software applications from overall design through implementation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including proven experience as a Bridge System Engineer (BrSE).
• Hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development.
• 1+ year of experience as a code reviewer in an environment with established coding conventions and review processes.
• Japanese at N2 level or above, able to work with Japanese clients and stakeholders.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills within a project team.

Required skills

• Practical experience with at least one major public cloud platform such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• At least one of: Docker and/or Kubernetes, Java, PHP or .NET, C or C#, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Preferred: experience defining requirements and preparing basic design documents.

• Salary up to 750 million yen per year, with full salary during the probation period.
