Customer Sales & Service Agent - Japan

About the role

Emirates is hiring a Customer Sales & Service Agent in Osaka, Japan. The role provides the highest level of service to sell Emirates airline tickets and services and help customers manage their travel plans, working as part of a team to meet commercial objectives. It is a retail office position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service, explain fares and issue online tickets while identifying customer needs and promoting Emirates products.
• Issue tickets correctly, applying airline rules and regulations, and inform passengers about passport, visa and health requirements, check-in place and time.
• Promote revenue-generating options such as Skywards membership, DBB, Dubai stopovers, hotel bookings and upgraded fares.
• Keep up with Emirates Group news and updates.
• File ticket-related documents, update timetables and display brochures and promotional material on counters.
• Support the team leader in closing end-of-day sales and banking monies received.
• Assist travel agents with bookings, special fares and ticketing formalities.
• Handle online queries and complex cases such as medical cases and special services.

Required profile

• Education to at least GCSE/O Level standard or equivalent, or a Diploma/Degree in Travel and Tourism.
• 2+ years in a contact centre or reservations office in the airline or travel industry.
• Right to live and work in Japan.
• Fluency in another language is advantageous for multilingual calls.

Required skills

• PC skills to run Windows packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
