Regional Director - Enterprise Sales

About the role

Datadog is looking for a Regional Director of Enterprise Sales in Osaka to provide strategy, mentorship and guidance for a team of Enterprise Sales Executives who drive new business through the full sales cycle. The role is hybrid, with travel to Tokyo and international trips.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, hire, train and ramp a team of Enterprise Sales Executives responsible for new and expansion bookings
• Achieve annual Enterprise bookings quota with monthly and quarterly targets
• Develop executives on productivity metrics such as deal size, win rate and forecast accuracy, and on leading a proactive sales cycle
• Coach executives on building relationships with named Enterprise accounts and handling complex deals and negotiations
• Shape the go-to-market strategy and execution for the region
• Work with Marketing, Product and Success on messaging, collateral and customer journey mapping
• Hold weekly forecast meetings and support direct reports in client and prospect meetings

Required profile

• Experience managing a high-performing Enterprise Sales team for a B2B technology company
• 5+ years of Enterprise sales experience with Fortune 1000 companies
• Comfortable managing complex sales processes, multi-stakeholder negotiations and pricing based on business value, legal and procurement
• Experience selling to C-level executives in the IT space and setting quotas
• Track record as an individual contributor and coach, with complex closing experience
• Willingness to travel to Tokyo about twice a month and work there several days per visit, travel within Japan, and travel internationally to the US or APAC up to four times a year
