ERP Infrastructure Architect

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support and managed services for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring an ERP Infrastructure Architect for its Global Client Onboarding team. The role reports to the Manager, GCO Technology Architecture and works directly with clients to set up remote access to support all Rimini Street product offerings. It is a demanding mix of project management, problem resolution and risk assessment, and is fully remote, based anywhere in Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects for multiple clients at once, liaising between internal and external stakeholders
• Resolve complex technical issues using knowledge of JD Edwards, Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion and SAP, and liaise with the support staff
• Answer client questions and concerns, including difficult ones
• Install software tools for supported ERP products and host calls with clients and prospects on technical onboarding requirements
• Plan and manage projects to establish remote access to a client's network
• Manage technical tasks such as software archives at the client site or via a cloud-hosted solution
• Track and record evidence for ISO compliance and ensure timely status updates
• Offer alternative solutions to remote access or environment issues under tight deadlines, and occasionally host client calls outside normal hours

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information sciences, computer sciences or a related field
• 5-7 years of technical experience with ERP applications
• Experience of ERP implementation and upgrade processes
• Familiarity with remote access connectivity methods and exposure to Windows and UNIX environments
• Ability to work independently and in a remote team, under pressure and tight deadlines
• Native Japanese or fluent Japanese in business and technology settings

Required skills

• Project management experience (essential)
• Strong consulting background in installation and technical configuration
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Preferred: ITIL certification, Project Management certification, and exposure to ISO 9000/9001/27001 processes
