Sr. Solutions Architect, Security (Remote Japan)

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support, managed services and Agentic AI ERP solutions for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect, Security. The role reports to the Regional Manager, Product Services, NAMER & APAC and works remotely in Japan. It focuses on security services for ERP implementations (Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.) and covers planning, implementation, support and verification of security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot security products under the guidance of Senior Solutions Architects
• Use repeatable project plans and best practices to manage onboarding projects and give feedback for process improvement
• Document client implementation configurations and work with the GSD team to triage and resolve Level 1/2 support cases
• Act as co-owner of security services projects and liaison between Onboarding Project Management and GSS teams
• Manage security support cases so they meet client SLAs
• Take part in R&D feasibility studies of new products and maintain the product issue log
• Create and manage project status updates for onboarding, professional services and managed services projects
• Promote talent inflow for managed services and train on security trends and technologies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience with IT procedures and security policies
• 10+ years in DataCenter operations, in-house and outsourced
• 5+ years in security product implementation and troubleshooting
• Deep understanding of supporting business processes

Required skills

• Knowledge of securing network, application and database server tiers
• Installation and configuration of security software such as McAfee, TrendMicro, Imperva, F5 ASM, Palo Alto or other web application/next-gen firewalls
• Working knowledge of multiple databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.) and applications
• Preferred: cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtual patching, encryption, identity management, and SSCP, CAP or similar certification
