Senior Support Engineer - SAP S/4 HANA / Basis

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support and managed services for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring a Senior Support Engineer for SAP S/4 HANA / Basis. The role provides remote-based support for mission-critical SAP applications, troubleshooting and fixing issues in 4.x, ECC and HANA environments, and delivering fixes in complex, highly configured setups.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex customer issues through methodical troubleshooting of SAP applications.
• Work closely with customers daily to support business change and deliver a high-quality experience.
• Provide remote functional support and training for specialist SAP modules, and advise on client customizations.
• Develop application break fixes for critical defects and create scripts to identify, analyze and correct data issues.
• Manage one or more key accounts as a technical/functional advisor, using proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote connectivity.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to cover a 24x7x365 support organization.
• Share knowledge, diagnostics and processes with the team and contribute to knowledge-sharing methods.

Required profile

• 10+ years of general SAP experience, especially with SAP S/4 HANA / Basis.
• Track record of successful roles in several SAP implementation or upgrade projects.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English; another language is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and remotely from a home office.

Required skills

• System administration knowledge of at least two of: Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX or Windows.
• Databases such as Oracle, MS-SQL, DB2, Sybase or SAP HANA.
• Expertise in SAP HANA in-memory platform, including architecture, landscape design, installation, upgrades, performance tuning and migration.
• Full life-cycle implementation, configuration and administration of S/4 HANA.
• ABAP debugging and troubleshooting; SAP SWPM is a plus.
• Preferred: SAP certifications, knowledge of SAP industry or country-specific solutions, consulting or global implementation experience.
