Manager III, Customer Engineer

About the role

The Manager III, Customer Engineer leads the district’s customer engineering team, building strong relationships with customers and ensuring successful system installations and support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships across all levels in the district.
• Manage, coach, and direct all customer engineers, including salary and career planning.
• Serve as the primary interface with Product Divisions for tech support, training, spares, and reliability.
• Oversee account planning with the District Sales Engineer and provide support plans for system sales.
• Responsible for financial forecasting, cost efficiency, and district financial results.
• Plan and execute system installations, including pre‑facility and start‑up meetings.
• Manage RMA procedures and monitor engineer effectiveness and hour tracking.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and conducting performance appraisals.
• Strong business acumen with ability to create forecasts and drive cost‑efficient results.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information and gaining cooperation.

Required skills

• Experience with customer engineering processes, system installation, and RMA management.
• Knowledge of financial forecasting and district budgeting.
• Ability to coordinate with product divisions for technical support and training.
