Sales Engineer - Japan

About the role

Nord-Lock Group is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive market development and growth in Japan across general industrial, manufacturing, power generation and petrochemical sectors. Based in Osaka, you will work closely with engineering, maintenance, OEMs and owners to promote the company’s bolting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sales‑focused activities targeting market development in industrial, manufacturing, power generation and petrochemical sectors.
• Interact with engineering, maintenance, OEMs and owners to promote Nord-Lock product portfolio.
• Train and develop distributors/partners in Japan to increase sales turnover and market coverage.
• Provide sales quotations and pre‑sales technical support to customers.
• Maintain customer accounts and project updates in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Conduct market research and monitor competitor products.
• Travel within Japan as required and control expenses to meet budget guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience, preferably in industrial or construction sectors.
• Driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
• Independent, resourceful and proactive problem‑solver.
• Strong customer support and relationship‑building skills with an outgoing personality.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adhere to company policies.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
