Director, Global Supply Chain Integration – Japan

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior leader to drive supply chain integration for its expansion in Japan and the broader Asia‑Pacific region. The role bridges strategic growth, sourcing, and risk management to enable rapid scaling of defense technology products.

Key responsibilities

• Support Japan expansion by partnering with growth and corporate development teams and shaping pre‑contract strategies.
• Develop and qualify a regional supplier base across electronics, precision manufacturing, optics, sensors and other defense‑relevant commodities.
• Lead end‑to‑end supplier engagement, including selection, qualification, onboarding and performance management.
• Provide strategic advisory to Japanese industry partners and ensure compliance with Japanese regulations such as FEFTA and export controls.
• Act as the supply‑chain voice in go/no‑go decisions, delivering market intelligence and risk assessments.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive strategic sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in defense, aerospace or advanced technology.
• Proven track record negotiating complex manufacturing agreements with Japanese suppliers and deep understanding of Japanese business culture.
• Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and willingness to travel 30‑40% internationally.

• ERP systems and sourcing tools.
• Total cost modeling, should‑cost analysis and make‑vs‑buy assessments.
• Expertise in Japanese regulatory compliance (FEFTA, export controls, dual‑use technology regulations).
• Commodity knowledge in electronics, precision manufacturing, materials, optics and sensors.
