Forward Deployed Engineer - Applied AI

About the role

DevRev builds Computer, an AI platform that unifies data sources, tools and workflows so employees get real-time insights, proactive suggestions and agentic actions. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you work closely with the pre- and post-sales Customer Experience team, building solutions on the core platform using TypeScript, JavaScript, Python and similar languages. A key task is building the Knowledge Graph, including integrating DevRev with other SaaS and non-SaaS systems through webhooks, APIs and/or real-time communication architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI agents, integrations and automations that connect DevRev with customers' existing tech stacks and workflows.
• Connect DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS platforms through APIs, webhooks and real-time communication architectures.
• Apply prompt engineering, fine-tune semantic search engines and use generative AI techniques to improve agent accuracy.
• Write SQL queries, analyse data and build dashboards to surface insights for customers.
• Build rapid proofs-of-concept, run live technical demos and iterate on customer and stakeholder feedback.
• Work with customers, engineering, product, customer success, support and revenue teams, and guide customers through workflows such as code repository integrations.
• Travel up to 30% for on-site implementations, workshops and customer engagements.

Required profile

• 5+ years in software development, systems integration or platform engineering; customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; AI or architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, SAFe) are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, data structures and algorithms (Go is a plus).
• Building AI agents with snap-ins, connectors (AirSync), workflows and AI agents on the DevRev platform.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, function calling and evaluation of agentic AI solutions.
• API integration (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and event-driven/pub/sub architectures.
• Serverless and edge deployment (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) with CI/CD, containers and observability.
• Data mapping, schema alignment, graph data structures and MCP.
