Senior Solution Architect (Pre-Sales)

About the role

Elastic, the Search AI company, is hiring a Senior Solution Architect (pre-sales) in Tokyo. As a technical authority and trusted advisor to the sales team, customers, partners and community, you will solve customers' business issues with the Elastic Stack, engage the regional Elastic community through events and programs, and enable sales through partners. The role works with some of the company's largest enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the commercial technical point of contact within accounts
• Understand customers' goals and explain how Elastic offerings address their needs
• Create and own value-based relationships at all levels of the organization
• Take part in every phase of planning and execution in your territory, from discovery to technical win
• Maintain a deep knowledge of Elastic products and solutions to demonstrate their value in sales meetings, meetups and conferences
• Advise the sales team on how to position Elastic products, solutions and services
• Onboard, educate and support partners in sales cycles
• Create collateral, contribute to programs and collaborate with colleagues to meet client needs
• Communicate customer needs, gaps and enhancement requests to engineering and leadership
• Continue developing sales and technical skills through self-driven learning and Elastic's professional development opportunities

Required profile

• At least 4 years of success in a technical pre-sales role, selling, demonstrating and implementing technology
• Enterprise-sector experience and understanding of its challenges
• Ability to articulate and sell the benefits of modern platforms, software and technologies
• Proven customer relations and architecture design that solved problems or beat competitors
• Ability to influence teams and inspire groups of all sizes
• Willingness to travel 20% within a region and occasionally internationally
