Hospital Administrative Clerk (Onsite, Misawa, Japan)

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Hospital Administrative Clerk to work onsite at a medical treatment facility in Misawa, Japan. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality patient care by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing accurate administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with Joint Commission standards, Department of the Navy instructions, and all applicable laws and regulations governing health‑care personnel and facilities.
• Participate in peer‑review, performance‑improvement, and Family Advocacy Program activities as directed by the government.
• Respond efficiently to emergency patient situations, follow established protocols, and document events accurately.
• Identify potential problems or emergencies, intervene appropriately, and notify the director or designated personnel when needed.
• Maintain awareness of legal issues in patient care and manage situations to reduce risk.
• Attend mandatory annual training, including disaster response, infection control, CBRNE, and other required courses.
• Contribute to the command’s Performance Improvement Program by reviewing care delivery and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist in in‑service training for clinic staff as directed.
• Document patient care promptly, accurately, and concisely.
• Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and the Clinical Information System (CIS).

Required profile

• Ability to adhere to Joint Commission, Department of the Navy, and local regulatory standards.
• Capability to work calmly and effectively in emergency patient situations.
• Strong awareness of legal considerations in health‑care environments.
• Willingness to complete all required training and certifications.
• Commitment to participating in performance‑improvement and risk‑management activities.

Required skills

• Experience with CHCS (Composite Health Care System).
• Proficiency in AHLTA (Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application).
• Familiarity with ADS (Automated Data System).
• Knowledge of Essentris.
• Ability to use Clinical Information System (CIS).
