Hotel Front Desk Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Front Desk Manager to join our hotel in Hakuba. The role involves assisting guests, handling bookings, and supporting the hotel operations manager with training and supervision of guest services staff. Fluency in English and Japanese and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest inquiries across multiple channels, ensuring a positive experience.
• Manage reservations, check‑ins, check‑outs, and accurately process payments.
• Provide concierge services, local recommendations, transportation arrangements, and resolve guest complaints.
• Assist in creating staff schedules, delegate tasks, and train the guest service team.
• Handle guest accounts, fulfill amenity requests, and maintain accurate payment records.

Required profile

• Legal right to live and work in Japan (visa support available).
• Experience in guest services or reception, preferably supervising a team.
• Business‑level proficiency in both Japanese and English, spoken and written.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail for reservations and billing.
• Knowledge of local Hakuba attractions and ability to give accurate recommendations.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems for reservation and guest communication.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Team‑oriented attitude with cultural sensitivity and a guest‑first approach.
