Loss Adjuster / Insurance Claims Specialist

About the role

Join Sedgwick as a Loss Adjuster / Insurance Claims Specialist and help people facing unexpected events. You will investigate, inspect and analyse insurance claims, conducting full‑lifecycle assessments and on‑site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct loss assessments and investigations for Property, Liability, Cargo, Construction and other insurance claims.
• Visit loss sites to evaluate damages, determine the extent of loss and prepare detailed reports.
• Review insurance policies, analyse coverage, terms, conditions and exclusions.
• Communicate and coordinate with insured parties, insurers, repair vendors and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate claims resolution and settlement discussions with insurers, reinsurers and relevant parties.

Required profile

• Fluent in Japanese and English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Several years of experience handling Property & Casualty insurance claims, or a licensed Loss Adjuster in Japan, or experience in construction, plant engineering or architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical and report‑writing abilities.

Required skills

• Ability to analyse complex situations, assess losses and provide practical recommendations.
• Experience conducting site inspections and preparing loss assessment reports.
