Principal & Team Manager, R&D Business Consulting (Japan)

About the role

R&D Business Consulting at Veeva blends strategy, operations, data and technology to help life‑science companies accelerate innovation. Expanding the practice in Japan is a strategic priority with high visibility across the organization and the broader industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support global business development opportunities, shaping proposals that address complex pharmacovigilance and regulatory challenges.
• Leverage your network to identify new projects and build relationships with biopharma and MedTech stakeholders across Japan.
• Act as the Japan R&D Consulting Lead for top global accounts, serving as the primary contact for strategic and tactical queries.
• Develop campaigns, offerings and thought‑leadership content that differentiate Veeva Business Consulting.
• Lead multiple project or program teams, overseeing scope, delivery and quality assurance.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of industry and R&D consulting experience.
• Deep experience in Life Sciences R&D operations within Japan/APAC.
• Extensive network of senior leaders in the Top 20 Life Sciences companies.
• Proven ability to engage senior customers and secure high‑value engagements.
• Track record of designing and implementing digital transformation and R&D innovation programs.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full Life Sciences R&D value chain.
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
