Senior Recruiter – Tokyo (12-Month Contract, Convertible)

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a Marsh business and global management consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Recruiter for its Japan office in Akasaka, Tokyo. The role covers entry-level and experienced hires, Partners and support functions, and is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for Entry-level, Experienced Hire, Partner and Support Professional roles, from sourcing through offer and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to design and run hiring and attraction strategies.
• Lead campus recruiting for domestic and international universities, including events, internships and interview coordination.
• Build relationships with universities, career centres, student organisations and external partners to expand the talent pipeline.
• Sourcing candidates via market mapping, networking, LinkedIn, Bizreach, Gaishishukatsu, referrals and search firms.
• Deliver a strong candidate experience and continuously improve recruiting processes, assessment methods and interview frameworks.
• Maintain talent pipelines and market intelligence, and promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Manage recruiting data, reporting and ATS records, and general human capital operations such as onboarding and HR process improvements.
• Drive employer branding and ad-hoc talent acquisition projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4 to 6 years of recruitment experience, ideally in professional services, consulting, financial services, executive search or multinational companies.
• Experience managing multiple hiring processes across functions and seniority levels.
• Excellent English; Japanese language proficiency is required.
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Required skills

• Strong sourcing with LinkedIn Recruiter and direct search techniques.
• Applicant tracking systems (e.g. Workday Recruiter).
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
