Senior Regional Planner – Service Parts & Supply Chain

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Regional Planner to lead service parts and supply‑chain planning activities for its Tokyo region. The role combines strategic planning, data‑driven analysis and cross‑functional collaboration to support the company’s semiconductor and display equipment business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans that align with corporate goals, creating new processes, tools and data‑visualisation systems.
• Manage service parts planning including demand forecasting, inventory control, ramp‑up and service contract planning.
• Collaborate with senior managers, technical experts, sales, logistics and other departments to ensure coordinated planning.
• Lead funded projects, delivering on time and within budget while providing technical assistance.
• Track performance metrics, identify improvement areas and execute corrective actions.
• Represent the region in global processes, handling exceptions and ensuring customer requirements are met.
• Utilise system tools to translate business needs into actionable plans and conduct studies on planning topics.
• Lead and mentor a team of planners, fostering continuous improvement and skill development.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field (semiconductor experience preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience in inventory, supply, material or demand planning.
• Fluent in English and Japanese with strong business acumen.
