Senior Solutions Consultant – Hybrid (Tokyo)

About the role

As a Senior Solutions Consultant for DeepL in Japan, you will lead complex customer engagements, partner closely with Sales, and work across DeepL’s AI translation, Language AI workflows, APIs and DeepL Voice. The role is hands‑on, requiring you to build demos, prototypes and proof‑of‑value environments for Japanese enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own discovery, demos and solution design on medium to high‑complexity deals, aligning business value with DeepL’s product suite.
• Run pilots and proof‑of‑concepts, applying sales methodologies and contributing to deal closure.
• Manage multiple deals simultaneously while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Account Executives to shape account strategy and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
• Lead RFI/RFP processes and present technical value to both business and technical audiences.
• Coach junior consultants and drive process improvements within the Solutions Consulting team.

Required profile

• Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English proficiency.
• Minimum 5 years of client‑facing technical experience in Solutions Consulting, Solutions Engineering or Pre‑Sales, preferably in enterprise SaaS, AI or language technology.
• Proven track record of owning discovery, demos and solutioning on complex deals and influencing deal outcomes.
• Ability to manage several deals independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for both business and technical audiences.
