Services Engagement Manager – Commercial Cloud

About the role

Veeva is seeking a Services Engagement Manager to lead Commercial Cloud implementations for life‑science customers in Tokyo. The role bridges sales and delivery, ensuring projects are scoped, staffed, and executed to drive long‑term customer success.

Key responsibilities

• Define implementation approaches, project charters, staffing plans, timelines and cost estimates using commercial domain and Veeva product knowledge.
• Develop and deliver proposals and Statements of Work for Commercial Cloud projects and enhancements.
• Set realistic expectations for customers and internal stakeholders, focusing on long‑term success.
• Coordinate with implementation partners and align ecosystem resources.
• Promote Managed Services, training, and additional solutions to enhance the customer experience.

Required profile

• Experience in business process improvement or software implementation at a consulting firm, or services sales at an IT company.
• 5+ years delivering consulting services, including involvement in selling services.
• Business‑level English communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, executive presence, and facilitation experience.
• Ability to manage negotiations with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud‑based solution deployment.
• Knowledge and experience in the life sciences industry.
