Ships Agency Operator – Port Services Coordination

About the role

Join Wilhelmsen's global maritime team as a Ships Agency Operator, supporting vessel port calls in Tokyo. You will ensure smooth coordination between vessels, port authorities, and service providers while adhering to company SOPs and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and board vessels as directed, following SOPs and customer requirements.
• Coordinate all aspects of assigned port calls, including contractor selection and quotation submission.
• Maintain compliance with Port Services processes, standards, and the WASP operating system.
• Monitor vessel status, handle enquiries, and ensure timely communication.
• Manage pre‑funding approvals, cash‑in‑transit procedures, and expense tracking.
• Approve supplier invoices and drive cost‑effective vessel operations.
• Update vessel files and transactional systems in real time.
• Report business opportunities and port updates to management.
• Observe QHSSE standards and use TAKE 5 safety tool as needed.

Required skills
