About the role
Appian is looking for a Consultant to join its Customer Success Delivery team in Tokyo. You will work with large enterprise clients to design and implement AI‑powered process automation solutions that drive business transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy custom automation solutions on the Appian platform throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build seamless data integrations and scalable APIs using REST, SOAP and JDBC to connect external enterprise systems.
- Create and optimise relational data models and complex SQL queries for production environments.
- Collaborate in cross‑functional Agile teams, participating in sprints, stand‑ups and pair programming to deliver high‑value features.
- Partner with client technical teams and business stakeholders to drive platform adoption, provide training and ensure self‑sufficiency.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on software development or technical implementation consulting experience.
- Proven ability in object‑oriented programming, database design and writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications.
- Strong client‑engagement and communication skills across varied scenarios.
- Willingness to travel up to 20 % for on‑site customer engagements.
