Travel Consultant

About the role

Join the U.S. Military and Government team at Amex GBT to provide seamless travel management services for federal clients. As a Travel Consultant you will deliver outstanding customer service to defense and government travelers before, during, and after their trips.

Key responsibilities

• Create and complete travel arrangements (air, hotel, car, rail) following client standards.
• Act as a trusted advisor, offering recommendations for the best traveler experience.
• Handle basic to moderately complex bookings, including non‑standard itineraries and complex fares.
• Escalate the most complex bookings to senior staff.
• Stay up‑to‑date using the company’s social intranet and training resources.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Japanese, both written and spoken.
• Relevant experience in the travel industry or customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, “can‑do” attitude with willingness to learn and grow.
• Team‑working mindset.

Required skills

• Basic MS Office proficiency.
